I am trying to enter up the asset register for a farm, and the oldest tractor we have was purchased in 1952 - it is still going strong and even though it has been depreciated to no value for accounting purposes it still needs to be recorded and maintained and all of that needs to be recorded.
But the date widget will not let me go back before 1 Jan 2005. What do I have to change to be allowed to enter earlier dates?

While the picker itself only goes back to 2005 you can still type it in yourself.
Simply fill in the datefield manually, for example 03/01/1990:
