Hello guys! Hope you are doing great!

I have a question, I am new using odoo. And I need to relate one producto to another product.

This means that I have 2 serialized products. Product A and Product B.

When I access Product A I want to see that it is related to one specific serialized Product B.

And, When I access Product B, I want to see that it is related to one specific serialized Product A.

Is this possible? I will really appreciate your help! :)

What kind of relation is it between the products? There can be different kinds? Are they variants? Are they part of a BoM? Or what else?

Without knowing what kind of relation it is impossible to help you...

Ok am not an expert on this, so I will give you an example.

I will have one serialized computer and one serialized Harddisk Drive.

I will need to know what serialized HDD is installed on one serialized Computer.

OR What serialized computer is using one serialized HHD.

They should be separated products, but they should be somehow related.

Did I make myself clear now?

Hello,

Yes, you can achieve your requirement via following steps.

You have to change some work flow for showing the related products inside the both product. Like product A's related product is product B. From product B you can see the product A as related peoduct.

Also you can manage the BoM or Manufacturing order for your serialized computer. So you can also check the past orders for your reference in which computer which HDD is used.

Thanks,

Go to BOM and create new product ,we can say PC , but make it as a kit , then add the computer and hard disk to it , when you sell this one , both items will be delivered to your client except the PC kit which is just a name of your collection.
