I have a question for odoo auditing, logging, and searching. In government use cases, even if only as an internal resource documents and communications have to be logged and searchable for FOIA request.
In odoo users are able to delete notes or log events from the chatter. Records can be updated, archived, and threads deleted without without any real audit trail. web pages can be updated as well without a tracked change log for version control or even as to whom made the changes.
So my question is there a way to have a central search of the entire odoo instance. Documents, records, threads or more to assist in collecting of information for a FOIA request? Is there a central log that things can be logged to and searched later? Is there a way to make it so only the system can write to it and users cannot delete it ( without elevating to super user )?
Is there a way to make this work? Google has google Vault and Microsoft has an equivalent and many third party solutions exist to supplement even those. Vault has a great search tool to help audit and export records.
Does anyone know of a way to make this feasible for governments?
I know many small cities and counties in America that would love a platform like this to replace their current junk sites. But this is kind of a requirement to make work.
