Hello!,

I have an Epson Printer " TM-T83III " Model

I had generated a certificate successfully but when I printed the receipt show me this message

" Please check if the printer is still connected. Some browsers don't allow HTTP calls from websites to devices in the network (for security reasons). If it is the case, you will need to follow Odoo's documentation for 'Self-signed certificate for ePOS printers' and 'Secure connection (HTTPS)' to solve the issue. If you are on a secure server (HTTPS) please make sure you manually accepted the certificate by accessing https://192.168.1.55. Do you want to print using the web printer?  "

Dear Ahmed,

The error message you're getting with your Epson TM-T83III printer indicates a potential issue with the communication between your browser and the printer due to a security certificate. Here's a breakdown of the message and some solutions:

The Problem:

  • Your browser might be blocking the connection to the printer due to a self-signed certificate. Self-signed certificates are not recognized by most browsers as trusted, raising security concerns.

Possible Solutions:

  1. Check Printer Connection:
    • Double-check that your printer is physically connected and powered on.
    • Verify your computer recognizes the printer and it's set as the default printer.
  2. Accepting the Self-Signed Certificate (if applicable):
    • The message mentions "https://192.168.1.55". This could be the IP address of your printer.
    • If you're comfortable with potential security risks, you can try accessing this address in your browser. This might prompt you to accept the self-signed certificate. Warning: Only do this on a trusted network and if you understand the security implications.
  3. Odoo Documentation:
    • The message suggests referring to Odoo's documentation for two solutions:
      • "Self-signed certificate for ePOS printers": This section likely explains how to configure Odoo (if that's the software you're using) to accept the self-signed certificate from your printer.
      • "Secure connection (HTTPS)": This section might guide you on setting up a secure connection (HTTPS) between your browser and the printer, eliminating the need for a self-signed certificate.

Additional Tips:

  • Consult your printer's manual or Epson's support website for specific instructions on certificate management for the TM-T83III model.
  • If you're unsure about certificate management or Odoo configuration, consider seeking help from a network administrator or IT professional.

By trying these solutions, you should be able to resolve the certificate issue and print your receipts successfully. Remember to prioritize security and only accept self-signed certificates on trusted networks.

I checked all of this,
my browser "Google Chrome" trusted the certificate,
I don't know what the problem is right now
