In V17, how do I see employee time from work orders in payroll? Thanks!  Jim

Thank you for the reply, but in v17.0e I do not see a Timesheets option in Developer mode for either Manufacturing or Payroll Settings. Ideas? Thanks! Jim

1. Linking Work Orders to Timesheets (not possible in standard)

  • First, ensure that the Timesheets are linked with the Manufacturing module, as this will help track employee time spent on work orders.
  • Go to Manufacturing > Configuration > Settings and enable the option Time Tracking.
  • This will allow time spent on work orders to be recorded in employee timesheets.

2. Link Timesheets with Payroll

  • In the Payroll module, ensure that timesheets are used to calculate employee hours.
  • Go to Payroll > Configuration > Settings and enable Timesheets for payroll calculations.
  • This will allow the system to pull work hours from the timesheets into the payroll.
