Cost for finished goods

Question

When we create a manufacturing order with raw materials it creates the inventory moves for the consumption but the transfer of finished goods is not costed, the cost is zero for finished goods, and the accounting entries are not generated for finished goods transaction, just for the consumed materials.
Is there something I have to consider that I am missing?

or use standard cost for your finished product (which is fairly normal for manufacturing and allows your cost to include labour and overhead)

To create automated accounting entries for your manufactured product, ensure that your manufactured product's product category has the following settings:
Costing Method  First In First Out (FIF O)
Inventory Valuation  Automated

And fill in all the account and account stock properties. And set the cost price of the manufactured product not equal to zero.
