Is there any way to add comments between order lines in sales orders and quotations?

In v7 the account_layout and sale_layout modules were dropped which enabled comments, notes, titles and other useful entries.
In 7 however, you can add multi-line comments to a line in the Sales Order and Invoice records without requiring a product and you can re-order just by dragging the line items up or down.
Me too, what a frick is that.. ?

Yes, many thanks, works for the time being, a real comment or grouping would be better, but it works so far ;-)
Please note that the "text line" will be added to your invoice analyses as a product sold, looks strange.
yes, its far from perfect, a simple comment line would be better. tried to enter a usual sales order we do currently manually with openoffice, but stuck while trying to give such orders a bit of the usual structure we have...
I make invoices from delivery orders. Is any way to use this comments on delivery orders too? Thanks.
Not without a customization. The closest you can get to that is by using multi-lines in the description of a line; it will still be "within the same line" though.

- You need to add a new field for sales.order.line several ways you can find
- Use Openoffice report designer. / modify report
- Beware the repeatln object is must in Session.
- Insert the new row in the tables in sales report
- Switch to bracket to field view
- Insert field -- looking for your field.
- Save, export to rml ..etc
- Upload report.
Ah and sure you need to modify the sale.view.xml for add your comments
