We are using odoo on our Linux Workstations and avoid GAFAM. Hence, we need to connect odoo to thunderbird. There are many posts about caldav but no solution. Does anybody have any input?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Contabilidad
- Inventario
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

In case you didn’t know it, there’s an Odoo App Store where you can find close to anything you want for a cost, or free.
You have access to both solutions, a free and paid option
Paid:
https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/15.0/opentech_caldav/
Free:
https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/11.0/base_dav/
If you don’t want to pay for a module then download the module for version 11 and use it as a blueprint for whatever version you’re running. You get the added benefit of CardDav along with CalDav :)
Sorry to be like cursed... but.. the solutions you propose are not really suitable for all:
- the paid version don't seams to support an external caldav server (see the doc but have to ask the dev)
- the free version is for odoo 11 we did not succeed in make it work with the v13 or v14... so we ask the how to (step by step if possible)
