Hi,
If you have enabled anglo-saxon accounting, then the costs of sold products are reported only after they are sold/delivered to the respective customer. In that case it will not be reflected in the balance sheet.
You can see the check box when you go to settings of the accounting module.

Only if you create an invoice you will see it in the balance sheet. 
If the invoice is in draft you have to enable Include unposted Entries.

But the Sale Order is not shown in the balance sheet at all.
