What is the difference between a Server Action (ir.actions.server) and a Scheduled Action (ir.cron)?

Hello
I am a beginner in odoo 14 and I am confused about cron and ir.actions.server.
I haven't got any site/blog/video convincing enough to clear about them.
So can anyone explain to me, without using documented examples or point me to useful links where I can learn more about them.
