Hello,

I use the manufacturing module in the case of menu preparation, and I'd like to know if it's possible to cumulate the quantities for the same material.

Take the example of Menu 1(bom), which consists of two dishes: dish 1(bom) and dish 2(bom).

Dish 1 requires 2 units of item A, dish 2 requires 3 units of item A.

Currently, on my work order I have:

Item A: 2 units

Item A: 3 units

Would it be possible that the quantity required for the preparation of the 2 dishes is cumulated in the work order and therefore have:

Item A: 5 units?

Best regards;

Fadoua

BOM = 'Menu 1' qty 1

Components = 'Item A' qty 5

By-Products = 'Dish 1' qty 1 (created at work center 'x') and 'Dish 2' qty 1 (created at work center 'y')

Essentially you are treating the BOM as a "phantom" which allows for the creation of the two by-products using the total qty of components. You can use the "Produced in Operation" drop down to tailor when each dish is actually created and considered inventory.
