Company A (in, say Germany) manufactures a product with components each of which has its unique serial number. The finished product itself has a unique serial number and is then sold via intra company transfer to Company B - a partner of Company A - in the UK. Company B receives the item into its warehouse before selling it to a customer.

We need to preserve all unique serial numbers - parts as well as the finished product.
