BUG_REPORT: when trying to upload an image, I receive a message "File could not be saved"

OS: Debian Gnu Linux 12

Linux kernel: 6.1.76-1 (2024-02-01)

I use the "/" command, then select "Insert an image".

A popup window appears.

I select button"upload an image".

I select my file for the image (16 kbytes png image).

A small window appears displayaing in red "File could not be saved."

Same problem when converting the image to a 23 kbytes jpg image.
