How do I automate database backups in erp 6.1.1?

hi
when i write what help say in auto backup ,openerp 6.11 don't create back up.
(i don't create fttp setting and in  schduled action
Object ? :
db.autobackup.ept
/Method ? :
schedule_backup
/Arguments
'Technical Data'
)
but when i backup in manual way it work perfectly.
so why auto backup don't work ?

Why not use webmin for scheduled backup?

Hi,

I wrote a Bash script sometimes ago for the backup of OpenERP 7 (Files + DB) on Debian server.
This is for local backup, but you can prolly modify the script for remote backup (put backup on another server), by using rsync. This is automated backup with Cron.

I do use this script right now on our dev server

Maybe you can adapt it for OpenERP v6.
