Hi, 


When I generate variants of a product , the cost of the product disappear. Is there a way that all the variants keep the same cost automatically.

Hi Catalina,

In Odoo if a product has variants, the cost will be maintained on the variant level. The same is for the internal reference as well. 

You could export the variants with external ID and cost fields to update the cost all at once.

For me it does not maintain, I don't understand why.

First I created the product with the cost, internal reference, bar code. but when I add variants this information get erased.

Hi Caralina,

That is out of the box behaviour for Odoo. If you are creating variants, you have to update them on the variant level. Not on the product template.

The reason is each variant will have its own internal reference, barcode reference.

My suggestion is create the variants first then update the other information.
