If it is allow, do i need to open sourcecode after modifying ?

you can replace the odoo logo by clicking on the odoo logo itself. it'll allow you to "load" your own logo. I'm not sure about the copyright stuff you're referring to. Are you talking about Mass Mailing or where are you referring to regarding the copyright text.
