Is it possible to create a vehicle in Fleet module while entering an invoice? And have a dedicated smart button on the invoice. As is done for fixed assets. Or is this module dedicated solely to leasing management?

You may done through automation. but the thing is what are the required field in Fleet Module should be present in asset module to.
if you have those field in asset module you may send the information while creating the asset.
