Backup Odoo 12 database using Ubuntu command line

Question

I got a distorted screen, unable to render the backup page.
I need to backup the odoo database from  ubuntu commandline/terminal
i have a hosted server with Ubuntu 18.04 OS and Odoo 12 database
Can anybody give me a step by step to do it?
Thank you for reading and advice in advance.
