AuST is small group of specialty medical device development and manufacturing companies working under ISO 13485 and 21CFR. We serve customers ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. We will summarize our experience implementing Odoo 11 in a multi-company environment which includes design and development services, make to order manufacturing, make to stock manufacturing and a regulatory consultancy. In this setting, we will identify areas of perceived platform strength as well as areas where we have encountered challenges in implementation. We will summarize key areas of customization that we have undertaken and identify areas where future development may be considered. We will summarize our approach to implementation of a dynamic software platform in a highly regulated environment. This talk will provide an overview of practical system implementation in a small but complex environment. Will will conclude with our vision of consolidating all major business systems into a single platform, including sales, development (PLM), operations and manufacturing, finance and supporting business processes. The talk is targeted to those considering Odoo implementation and those interested in supporting is application in the regulated manufacturing sector. The narrative structure will summarize actual experience over 2 years of implementation and draw key lessons from this experience.
