Is it possible to define global variables in OpenERP so that we can use it in all modules. For example : I am having years dropdown. I want to store it in global variable. So that i can use it in all modules and if year list changes it will reflect everywhere.

You can use any field in any module for it. And access to any filed from any module.
Also usual for it use table ir.values as one place.
