The new Gift Card Option in Odoo 15 is a great feature in odoo. Also selling Gift Cards from the POS is a feature we've been waiting for a long time. 

Unfortunately the Module has at least two bugs: 

1. (sometimes) you can't create a new Gift Card from the POS
2. you can redeem the Gift Cards as often you want
3. selecting a Gift Card before selecting a product, it can't be redeemed

We tested both in our Test-DB and on a Runbot-Instance. 

1. Creating Gift Card from POS

1. Create a new POS
2. In Settings Check the Option "Gift Card"
3. Select  "Scan an existing barcode and set a price"
4. Open a new Session
5. Select "Gift Card" in POS
6. Select "Scan and set price on gift card"
7. Add a random number and and an amount

If you press Confirm, nothing happens. 

If you try the same with selecting "Generate a new barcode and set a price" in the POS-Settings, it works, but not always! Sometimes it just stops working. You can open and close the session but nothing happens. 

2. Redeem Gift Card

1. Create a new Gift Card without POS or if the POS-method is working create one over POS (copy the code of the Gift Card for later use)
2. Start a new POS-Session if not already started
3. Select a product
4. Select "Gift Card"
5. Select "Use Gift Card"
6. Paste the code of your Gift Card
7. Confirm
8. Finish the Order
9. Continue the session or close and reopen it - doesn't matter

Repeat the steps as often you want. You can use the Gift Card as many times you want. 

The Gift Card also stays "Valid" in the Gift Card list, even if it has been (multiple times) redeemed. 

3. Selecting Gift Card before Product

1. Copy a Gift Card code
2. Open a new POS-Session
3. Select Gift Card
4. Select Use Gift Card
5. Paste your Code
6. Select a Product

Sometimes the Gift Card is added before the product and ignored. And sometimes you can't add a Gift Card. 

As mentioned we've tried to reproduce this behaviour on different Enterprise systems. I think it is not intentionally designed like this. Even if the second and third point are intentionally, the first won't let us use this feature. 

It is also impossible to set the validity of a Gift Card. In Germany for example the Gift Card has to have a minimum validity of three years! 

We have also tried to change the Gift Card Product in different ways, associated with the Gift Card in the POS. The behaviour is still the same. 

Is there someone using this feature in production? Do we miss an option in the settings to get this work?
