Email Marketing tracked links not public / can't be opened

Question

I am trying to use the Email Marketing app to send emails containing links to websites. I am running Odoo v15 server edition.

My problem is that for every link I add to an email, Odoo generates a new tracked url, and the tracked urls are not public, so they can only be opened by someone logged into our Odoo system.

e.g. If I include this link in an email: https://www.google.com, Odoo generates a tracked url that looks something like this: https://erp.mycompany.com/r/stp. The tracked url is not

I tried reproducing it in V15 (and V17), but for me the tracked links also work in an undercover window:

Otherwise you could  simply use non tracked links?

Maybe the link you added pointed to your website, which was not published? did you try the tracking with simply www.google.com?
