One of my companies is a robot systems integration company. Very custom machinery, very engineering driven. I was going to run a system called Total ETO, but Odoo seems like it could work out. I am using it for one of my companies that manufactures a standard product and it's a good fit. Curious if anyone is using it for Engineer To Order type companies that are project / engineering driven? I tested out a really nice cad connector for solidworks, it seems there are some folks using Odoo for this.

Yes, the connector for Solidworks is good. Odoo 18 has a better way to link projects to manufacturing orders and to specify a project-specific BoM so Odoo might well work for your company.
Just working on the Odoo implementation for ETO company.
I think it's doable but I plan to use Project instead of Manufacturing
