BUY X GET Y FREE Loyalty Rules Not Applying IF FREE PRODUCT PER ORDER BUT IF IT IS PER UNIT PAID IT WORKS

If your "Buy X Get Y Free" loyalty rule works when set to "Per Unit Paid" but doesn't work when set to "Per Order", here are a few things to check:

    Reward Quantity

    Make sure the reward quantity is set to at least 1. If it's left as 0, no free product will be added.

    Product or Category Match

    Double-check that the rule is correctly linked to the right product(s) or product category. If there’s no match during the order, the rule won’t apply.

    Loyalty Program Assignment

    In your Point of Sale settings, confirm that the correct loyalty program is assigned. Without this, none of the rules will be triggered.

    Conflicts with Other Rules

    Try disabling other discounts, price rules, or coupon programs temporarily. They can sometimes conflict with loyalty rewards and prevent them from applying.

    Addon Updates Required

    If everything looks correct but it still doesn’t work in "Per Order" mode, it could be due to outdated core loyalty or POS addons. Updating to the latest version of the relevant Odoo addons often resolves this issue.
