I have made a linked field in the journal item, linking back to custom fields I created on the sales order. This field is not filled though on all the sales orders and therefore, in the journal items it can be null. I want to have this field on the partner ledger so I can use this report for client reconciliations (having fields that the customer would actually understand).

I added the custom (linked) field to the partner ledger, but get an error now

The above server error caused the following client error:
null

I am not at all an expert, but to me it sounds like the error is thrown because of a null field. As I use odoo online, I cannot edit the code - any idea how to solve this?

ps: the end goal is that I can send a reconciliation report to my customer with our order number, their order number if they have one, an invoice number and the regular parts of reconciliation (invoice amounts and payments, due dates etc).
