Using Website Builder / Studio

Activate Developer Mode

Go to your website → Edit

Scroll to the footer

Click the "Powered by Odoo" text

Try deleting or hiding it 

Option B:
Edit the Website Footer Template 

Go to: Settings > Technical > Views

Search for view: website.layout or website.footer_custom

Find the line like:

<span>Powered by <a href="https://www.odoo.com" ...>Odoo</a></span>

Delete or comment it out

Click Save

1. Use Odoo Studio (Enterprise Only)

If you have Odoo Enterprise + Odoo Studio, you can:

1. Go to the Website ->Edit -> Footer.
2. Select the footer block.
3. Remove or edit the "Powered by Odoo" text.

Save.

2. Custom Theme / Code Override (Works in Community Edition)

If you are using Odoo Community Edition (or want a permanent code fix):

Steps:

-Create or edit a custom module (preferred) or directly modify the base theme (not recommended).

-Find this template:

addons/website/views/website_templates.xml

Locate the snippet:

<div class="o_footer_copyright">

    Powered by <a href="">Odoo</a> - The #1 Open Source eCommerce

</div>

Override this template in your custom theme/module:

<template id="remove_odoo_footer" inherit_id="website.footer_custom" customize_show="True">

    <xpath expr="//div[@class='o_footer_copyright']" position="replace">

        <!-- Removed Odoo Footer Text -->

    </xpath>

</template>

Update your module and restart Odoo:

./odoo-bin -u your_module_name

The Odoo Communitiy Edition LGPL license and the Odoo Enterprise Edition License allow you to remove this message, but do not allow you to remove backend references - as this violates the terms of both licenses.
