f.ex. We have a Screw called S0.90. Now I want to know how many times this product is used in all our production.
For example:
ProductB has 9 Screws S0.90
ProductC has 3 Screws S0.90
=> Then I know that the Screw S0.90 is used in my production 12 times (9+3).
It would be useful for a production forecast.

Currently we don't have any accurate functionality which you are looking for but still you can Track product moves for getting the desire details.
or you can go as per chris suggested that you can develop a new smart button in product form view.

Hi,
for the Odoo version starting from 11, you can observe the 'used in' button right on a product form.
For prior versions you can use this module - https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/10.0/show_bills_of_materials/
Besides, have a look at the app - https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/12.0/mrp_product_prognosis/. It let you plan production capacity
In the Form View for the component there should be a "Smart Button" labelled as Used In .
That will show you where it is used and the quantity required for each parent item BOM. You would need to add information from your Production Plan.

This is one of the most frustrating things about Odoo. I'm on version 15. I sell over 2000 parts. Some of those parts are used on multiple BOMs, and the finished goods containing those BOMs are made multiple times per year. As far as I can tell Odoo does not take this into consideration when forecasting future quantity and I can not find a report anywhere to figure out how many of each part was used, in one place. You have to look at product moves for every part one at a time and even that is not easy. I've been trying for two days to find a report that will give me this information.
