So, about your question — the good news is: it’s super easy now, because in V18.0 we’ve got a shiny new feature called Flexible Schedules! ✨

To handle your developers’ situation:

1. Head over to Employees > Configuration and activate “Flexible Hours.”
2. Set Hours per Week to 40:00 — this will act as the weekly target/limit.
3. Then, in "Average Hours per Day", don’t set 8 — set it to 24.

Don’t panic — you’re not asking them to work 24 hours a day! 😅

It just tells Odoo: “They can work as many hours as they want per day, as long as they don’t go over 40 hours per week.”

To handle your Data Analysts’ situation:

Same idea — go to Employees > Configuration, make sure “Flexible Hours” is activated.

Set the Hours per Week to 40:00, but this time, set “Average Hours per Day” to 8.

And that’s it! 🎯

They can work whenever they want during the day, but Odoo will still aim for that 8-hour daily rhythm you’re looking for
