First you should activate the developper mode 
Go to Configuration --> company--> selecet your campany name --> currency--> symbole( you will find $) change it by yours

Your inventory normally display in company currency. But in sales if you seen in any other currency then there are chances your price list in different currency.

- You can check current user company's currency 

- Pricelist currency (if menu not visible you can activate from sale > setting)

Thanks for the assistance. 

I have managed to change my currency at the Pricelists settings. The only problem is that the currency symbol "R" is now placed AFTER the prices and not in front of it as with the default "$" setting. Any idea on how to get my symbol in front of my prices?
