I have imported a list of clients and a list of providers from an old system. Since I have some providers that are clients at the same time, I noticed that they have been imported twice (once from list of clients and once from list of providers).
Can I just delete one and keep only one entry and use it as both at the same time? I can't find any checkbox in Odoo that can treat a company as both, so I imagine it is there by default, but I want to make sure.

Odoo keeps customers and suppliers in the same table.
The customer can be also a supplier so you need to keep only one and you can set the values of sale (as customer) & purchase as (supplier) as you can see below:
