I'm looking to purchase a ticket printer but when I see the possibilities to set a printer I see only two options: EPSON IP or IoT box..
I'd like to know if I can use my printer IP to set it in the EPSON IP field, will it work ? Can I create my own IoT Box or I have to buy the Odoo's one ?

Yes if you have an epson printer with the EPOS protocole it works out of the box, you just have to set IP in pos session configuration when epos is checked:
AS pos session is run javascript in the browser, epos printer should be visible on the local network. If your computer can ping epos printer ip, then it should works !
My mistake! I misread the field name thinking ePos was EPSON.. But I’m glad to know now what I need to looking, thanks you!
