This module targets any company that designs its products using a CAD system like Solideorks, SolidEdge, Inventor, Autocad, Catia and so on.
The workflow allows full control of product statuses: from Draft, when development is a work in progress, to Confirmed, when supervisor approval is required, to Released, before starting to manufacture it.
When changes are required to improve existing products, a new revision can be performed. When the new version is released, the previous one is automatically moved to obsoleted.
Product reuse is available, through clone command, to quickly adapt an existing product and get a new one.
The CheckIn and CheckOut functions allow all users to work on the same products at the same time.
Engineering Bill of Material (EBOM) is automatically created in Odoo in a fast, reliable, and transparent way, and you can easily compare it with previous versions, or other products. EBOM is automatically created in the normal bill of material to start the Odoo Enterprise manufacturing process.
