Target audience are Energy or Utility companies (including green energy/solar companies. Attendees will learn how Odoo can be configured to manage energy and utility company needs. The energy sector is facing operational challenges related to the digitalization of the grid and integration of intermittent resources. Systems needed to support monitoring, measuring, verification, and control are disparate, not integrated, and costly to mine for trend analysis and preventative maintenance. Managers and users feel the pain of dealing with too many independent data sources.
Attendees will see Odoo configured to provide utility asset lifecycle management, from Purchasing to Retirement/Disposal, with maintenance and traceability functionality. Utility Asset Accounting will be discussed at length, including Expense costs versus Capital costs, and amortization.
