Darat Al Qahwa’s history dates back to the late 1960’s with the sale of imported green beans to the local market. In 1970, the first Darat Al Qahwa opened in the “Queen’s Building” in Al Balad, downtown Jeddah. It quickly became a local landmark and the most popular café in the city. Today Darat Al Qahwa operates 20+ locations and is in the process of opening new outlets both in the Kingdom and regionally.
