Searching by a custom field in CRM module

Question

Hello,
I am working on Odoo 17.2e saas and I have created a custom field opportunity no which is a sequence and is automatically generated upon creating a new lead.

I want to be able to search by a specific opportunity no in my pipeline and only enter the opportunity no in the search bar without using custom filters each time. How can I achieve this?

Hello,
this can easily be done if you have Studio.
Open Studio while in the CRM, then choose Views --> Search
From the left, search for the field "Opportunity No." and drop it into the "Autocompletion Fields" column on the right. As an extra, if you want it to be the default/first thing that Odoo searches for when you search in the CRM, drop it on the top of the list
