I am working on Odoo 19 (POS) and I want to automatically set a default “Walk-in Customer” on every new POS order.
Requirement
When a new POS order is created, the customer should be auto-selected
If the cashier changes the customer manually, that should still work
Works in Odoo 19 (new OWL POS architecture)
What I Have Tried
I am able to:
Fetch the partner ID correctly
Retrieve the partner from POS cache or backend
But the issue is:
👉 Customer is not getting set on the order, even though I have the partner object
