Installing Odoo v12 on Ubuntu 18.10

I've been attempting to install the community version of Odoo, v12, on Ubuntu v18.10 following the Odoo installation documentation, Deb Package.

Install go fine, but when I try to start Odoo, I get the following error:

I followed the same steps on a Raspberry Pi that I have setting around with the latest version of Raspbian. That install went just fine and I'm able to start Odoo and access it with out issue.

Is there a reason why Odoo won't install on Ubuntu?

I had the same issue running a local instance on Mac and on Ubuntu Server. You have to install sassc manually. For some reason it does not always install properly with the .deb or using pip3. I recommend restarting Ubuntu and Odoo after installing to make sure it loads properly. It will need to reread all of the css files on load to compile properly to run. Try this:

sudo pip3 install libsass==0.12.3
