I'd like to remove the more menu on a tree view. I know I can do this changing the view type to tree instead of form, but then I lose the search.

Is it possible to remove it with view_type form 

OR 

Is it possible to have search view in view_type tree?

I think you need to customize the behavior of framework from the web menas .js side

if you want to customize for only one view then you need to do it from the .js(java script) which are in the web in openerp.
