Odoo ver 17 cloud version


  1. I have a product, it is avocado (could be any fruit), I use Kg as unit.
  2. I also have an general ledger account named "Crop in progress", it is an Inventory account, an asset type account.
  3. and a GL account named "Crop Inventory" which is also an Inventory account, an asset type account
  4. I want to add to the Inventory app the avocado's kgs that were harvested, with a cost value, any value I want; regardless any cost method defined in the Inventory app, this value must debit the "Crop Inventory" account and credit the "Crop in progress" account.

Optional info, in case you would like a better understanding: (The "Crop in progress" account will be debited throughout the year holding all avocado crops' direct expenses, for new and old crops. This account will always have a balance, because it takes a minimum of three years for an avocado tree to produce. The crediting amounts for this account are discretional)


I have tried doing this thruway the "Manufacturing" app, but haven't been able to achieve it. Reason is I have no components for a BOM, thus I couldn't add the corresponding cost value. 


I also have tried to do it through the purchasing application using a simulated supplier, being this the company itself. Neither.


I have searched the Internet for posts and youtube videos. but nothing.


I am also pretty open for any best practices approach, should any of you come up with some recommendations.


I kindly ask the community for its very valuable help.
