Configure my own email servers on odoo17

Question

Hello,

i have installed odoo 17 on an Ubuntu virtual machine installed on my proxmox server. and i would like to use odoo17's email marketing module to run email campaigns. to do this, i have configured my mail server with the correct information but the connection test displays :

outgoing server

Invalid Operation
No response received. Check server address and port number. timed out*

incoming server
Invalid Operation

Server replied with following exception: LOGIN command error: BAD [b'Error
