How to move customers and contacts from one salesperson to another?

Question

I am looking to move over all contacts and customers with their current and previous invoices and sales from a soon to be retired salesperson to a new salesperson. Is there a way to do this in bulk without going into each of the thousands of contacts (she is a long time employee) and manually reassigning to the new salesperson?

- Group contacts by "Sales person"
- In the list view, open the grouping of the contacts of the sales person you want to change (none in the example)
- Select all by selecting the header checkbox
- Change the sales person of one of the selected contacts and confirm the change for all selected contacts
