For example, in a food manufacturing operation producing dumplings, the Planning function schedules Manufacturing Orders (MOs) based on the duration of each Work Order (WO) within the MO. The scheduling follows the sequence in which the MOs are generated and the duration required for each.

In the case of dumplings, where 20 or 50 are cooked at a time, will I be forced to set my BOMs based on the batch size (e.g., 20 dumplings at once)? Ideally, I’d like to create the Product BOMs based on individual units, but this throws off scheduling since Odoo adds the WO times for each unit, causing inaccurate MO planning.

Is there a way to set up BOMs for single units while keeping the scheduling aligned with batch production?

Since you are using the manufacturing module, try out the module: MO and BoM variance whose author is intelliVersal integrated solutions. This module generates a variance analysis report showing the quantity and cost differences between BoM and actual MO.

Hello,

For this you need to increase the capacity in the created work center.

For ex. One MO product 20 qty Dumpling, then BOM should be,

then in Operation tab, add a line to create a operationand select the work center.

Go through the internal link, and set the capacity as 20 as same as in BOM quantity.

After saving it, create a MO, the result should be,

Check and Clarify your doubts.
