i have on-premise selfhosted odoo enterprise version hosted in our server. now i want to test some custom modules how can i create sandbox instance or staging/test environment for testing custom modules. and push changes to directly to production db or manually please help me with this.

we are currently running production db enterprise on our server and its not linked with github. is it compulsory to link with github? and for sandbox also?
