Hi there,

We are busy configuring the scroll depth tracking option under Google Analytics 4 with our website hosted on our Odoo database.

I have configured scroll depth tracking on our Tag Manager as per instructions from here and when I do this on a very clean html page (on a different hosting system), I can see it triggering 100% correctly, ie the tags trigger as you go through the different thresholds as you scroll downwards on the site.

We have 4 thresholds specified:25,50,75,100

So when you load the clean html site, no tag triggers, and as you scroll towards 25, it starts triggering. When you scroll further to 50, it triggers again. Etc etc until the site is scrolled to 100% when the tag triggers for the last time.

Now to my problem, we use Odoo to host our website, and they have a way that you can input the Google Tag code just under the

as the site loads, which works correctly for most of the tags we are interested in, but for some reason - not the tag monitoring the scroll threshold.

The website we're trying to implement this on is hosted at https://www.bcity.me and what happens at the moment, is that when the site loads, all the tags for the scroll threshold triggers at once when the site loads, so it shows you 25, 50, 75 and 100 at the same time.

I tried to remove my custom tags, and just tried the standard 90% trigger that GA4 provides - this also triggers immediately when the site loads. It happens for all pages on our site.

If anyone has any suggestions or workarounds to make the triggers fire only when scrolling, I would highly appreciate it.

Regards,
Rayno
