This is the problem with some missmatches in parents in accounts. Please try this.
Enter into the postgres database via phppgadmin or terminal. Then run these queries.
alter table account_account drop column parent_left;
alter table account_account drop column parent_right;
Then restart openerp server and update account module.

Me too, I have this error with a new account!!
