Hi, I'm running Odoo 11 Community Edition. I would like to generate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) journal entries when sales invoice is created. I have also configured Perpetual Inventory in Product Categories. Is this only possible for company based in Anglo-Saxon countries? I could not find how to enable Anglo-Saxon accounting feature in Odoo 11.

PS: I have 'Singapore Accounting' (module: l10n_sg ) installed.

For some reason, Odoo is recording COGS with delivery document and is ok but  records Cogs too when I validate then invoice.

I had an error in the product categories with the accounts. This post explain very well: https://www.cybrosys.com/blog/odoo-continental-vs-anglo-saxon-accounting

In standard, odoo works as follow:

- the trigger for recording revenue, is the sales invoice

- the trigger for recording cost of sales is the delivery order / assuming you are on perpetual inventory

To generate COS directly from the sales invoice you will need a customisation.

triggering the sales and the cost of sales thru 2 different events is the best way to create errors: the 2 should be triggered at the same time.
