I'm looking into the Odoo website functionality, and I don't get it. If I follow the video tutorial, I break my main database access. If I use the default My Website without a domain, a site is created but under the database domain. 

Why would I create a site if Odoo is going to point me back to my database domain? Is there any useful documentation for the Odoo website app?
