I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I am encountering in my Odoo Online Edu Version instance.


Problem Description:

ERROR "You cannot close the POS when order are still in draft"


I am unable to close a session due to an order being in a 'new' status. Despite my attempts, I am unable to delete or archive this particular order.


Steps Taken:


Accessed the session closure feature.

Identified an order in the 'new' status preventing closure.

Attempted to delete or archive the order to proceed with session closure.

However, despite my efforts, I have been unable to resolve this issue.


Could you please assist me in resolving this matter at your earliest convenience? Your guidance and support would be greatly appreciated.

You can try to make payment for that Draft order and close the session. If that order was made by mistake, you can make a payment and return it. Then do the same process.

Just discovered that any order stuck in 'New' status counts as a 'Draft' order. I went into the Point of Sale module and opened 'Orders' from the menu and found four 'New' orders. I deleted those orders and everything worked normally. Hopefully this helps.

i still do not have order number reference is still "/" no number.

what is the status of the order now?

It should be in Paid status. Also, when you are are returning the order, make sure you are giving the amount in negative only.
