I currently run my e-commerce site on a dedicated server of my own.  I wanted to use the following to integrate Odoo with my CS Cart store:


CS-Cart Odoo Connector | Odoo Multichannel


It shows the following:

Availability

 Odoo Online

Odoo.sh

 On Premise

I am assuming that means I cannot run an online version of Odoo with my e-commerce store.  Another words I could only run it in house so I could not access this online if needed. So if I use the sales module, a sales person will not be able to access the module unless they are in the office?


Am I correct?C

Hi,


The CS-Cart Odoo Connector does not support Odoo Online (the SaaS version), since that version doesn’t allow custom third-party modules to be installed.


To use the connector, you’ll need to go with either Odoo.sh or On-Premise (which it sounds like you’re already using). That doesn’t mean you’re limited to in-office access though. As long as your Odoo On-Premise server is accessible over the internet, your team can log in and use it from anywhere.


Just make sure your server is properly configured for remote access — things like SSL, firewall rules, and domain setup — and you're good to go. Odoo’s user access rights will handle who can see what once they’re logged in.

No, "Odoo Online" is one of Odoo's enterprise plans (https://www.odoo.com/de_DE/pricing). Unless you host your Odoo on your very own server and restrict access from the internet to that server, there is no "Odoo Offline" (unless things go really bad).

"Odoo Online" usually is marked as non-compatible in the App Store, because most of these plans simply don't support the installation of any third-party module (this is general restriction in this plan). It certainly does not mean however, that your Odoo instance can not be accessed from outside your premises anymore.
