How can I do so that the reference cost of the product is not modified every time I send an Order.

Example:

The product with cost of 12 Dollars, when I confirm the quotation it generates me a Purchase Order, but the cost that the supplier gives me can change because I am buying wholesale, if I change the unit price in the purchase order and confirm the order, it updates the price in the product and I don't want to do that, because it affects me in my margin.

I already tried with the Cost Method in the product category, but it keeps updating the price.

I am using odoo 13 Community.
